Halophilic archaea (Halorubrum lacusprofundi) isolated from Antarctic saline lakes contain plasmids (pR1SE) that code proteins taking part in the formation of membranes of archaea vesicles. The molecular and biological properties of pR1SE and the peculiarity of its interaction with sensitive cells are considered in this article. The role of structural proteins coded by pR1S in the process of formation of vesicle membrane complex is paid special attention. Plasmid-containing archaea vesicles model some properties of viruses. Archaea plasmids can be viewed as possible ancestors of DNA-containing viruses.</p>
Плазмиды архей могут рассматриваться как возможные предки ДНК-содержащих вирусов.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>review</kwd><kwd>plasmids</kwd><kwd>archaea</kwd><kwd>vesicles</kwd><kwd>genome</kwd><kwd>gene</kwd><kwd>DNA</kwd><kwd>viruses</kwd><kwd>structural proteins</kwd><kwd>cell membranes</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>обзор</kwd><kwd>плазмиды</kwd><kwd>археи</kwd><kwd>везикулы</kwd><kwd>геном</kwd><kwd>ген</kwd><kwd>ДНК</kwd><kwd>вирусы</kwd><kwd>структурные белки</kwd><kwd>клеточные мембраны</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Lwoff A., Tournier P.
