In these seaports the HIV-1 variants belonging to subtype A1 were predominant (93% in Murmansk, 83% in Arkhangelsk). In addition to these variants, viruses of other subtypes such as B, C, D and recombinant forms CRF02_AG and CRF03_AB were identified. The heterogeneity of circulating HIV-1 variants was higher in Arkhangelsk than in Murmansk. According to the results of phylogenetic analysis, subtype A1 sequences formed the common branch with nucleotide sequences of IDU-A strains found in other regions of Russia. HIV-1 variants of subtype B sub-clustered with sequences of East European B-variants. The recombinant strains CRF02_AG formed the common branch with HIV-1 sequences from Central Asia republics of the former USSR. Among 124 therapy-naive patients from Arkhangelsk and Murmansk (n = 124) the transmitted resistance was less than 5%.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Представлены результаты молекулярно-эпидемиологического анализа вариантов ВИЧ-1, распространенных в Архангельске и Мурманске. Показано, что в этих городах доминирует вариант ВИЧ-1 подтипа А1 - 83 и 93% соответственно. В регионах выявлены варианты вирусов и других подтипов (B, C, D) и рекомбинантных форм (CRF03_AB, CRF02_AG), причем частота встречаемости этих штаммов в Архангельске выше, чем в Мурманске. Филогенетический анализ нуклеотидных последовательностей показал, что все штаммы ВИЧ-1 подтипа А1 принадлежат к варианту IDU-A, доминирующему в России, а рекомбинант CRF02_AG аналогичен циркулирующим в странах Центральной Азии бывшего СССР. Все выявленные варианты подтипа B кластеризуются с нуклеотидными последовательностями западноевропейских штаммов. Проведен анализ мутаций лекарственной устойчивости и показано, что среди пациентов из Архангельска и Мурманска (n = 124), которые на момент сбора материала в 2013 г. не получали антиретровирусную терапию, первичная резистентность составила менее 5%.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>HIV-1</kwd><kwd>subtype</kwd><kwd>phylogenetic analysis</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>ВИЧ-1</kwd><kwd>подтипы</kwd><kwd>филогенетический анализ</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Salemi M.
