The administration of nevirapine is shown to result in the occurrence of resistance mutations, most of which can be identified only if superfine methods are applied. Whether nevirapine may be used for chemoprophylaxis of the vertical transmission of the virus in Russia is discussed.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>В обзоре представлены данные по применению однократной профилактической дозы невирапина при родах для ВИЧ-инфицированных женщин и новорожденных в течение 72 ч после рождения в отсутствие химиопрофилактики противовирусными препаратами в период беременности. Показано, что использование невирапина приводит к возникновению мутаций резистентности, большинство из которых можно идентифицировать лишь с применением супертонких методов.
